Animal Encounter - Tapir
Enjoy a Feeding Encounter with Alf, our new Lowland Tapir. Alf joined us at White Post Farm & Zoo in August, and he has settled in brilliantly. Now it is time for you guys to enjoy some time getting to know Alf, whilst feeding him some browse and his favourite snacks.
You will be taken into part of Alf's Enclosure with an Exotics Keeper, who will give you all the insider knowledge about Lowland Tapirs and answer any of your questions. You can explore around his indoor enclosure before heading over to feed Alf! You will be behind a barrier whilst interacting with Alf, feeding him browse and giving him some enrichment.
Feeding Encounters must be booked with 48 hours' notice. They will take place every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10:30-11 am. You must be aged 10+ to take part in this encounter, and those under 18 must be accompanied by an Adult.
This feeding encounter is Wheelchair Accessible.
Please note, there will be a barrier separating visitors from Alf whilst feeding and enrichment takes place.
